Formal Garden Example - Selby Landscapes

Our client here had recently moved from London, into this beautiful Georgian cottage.

The garden had previously been landscaped, but was over crowded & did not show off its true potential.

Our first job was to clear the whole site & strip it back to it's bare form.

A design was drawn up by Karen Knowlton, and we successfully won the contract to landscape the gardens.

A large amount of pennant flags and bath stone were pulled out during the clearance and we were able to incorporate these into the new design.

The garden incorporates a formal planting area leading up to a large timber pergola, where vines and clematis can grow.

The lawns were graded and re turfed opening out the whole garden.

The original patio, near the house, was repaired and larger steps created to lead up to the garden.
